Haiti Slavery
For one to understands how the revolution started in Haiti, he must put into
account: who were the groups that started, who led them, the dates it
happened, what was going on at the time, and the outcome each group was
expecting as they supported this rebellion.

The time was 1789 when the Haitian (Saint-Domingue) revolution started and
the groups of people that were leaving in Saint-Domingue were as follow:

The whites
The maroons
The black slaves
The free people of color

A French Man during the (Haiti) Saint-Domingue Revolution
The Maroons battling French Men
The whites were planters who came from France to Saint-Domingue
with slaves to cultivate the land. Sometimes they lived there for years
and were allowed to exclusively trade with France.

The maroons were runaway slaves who live in the mountains. They
stayed at a location for a short period to risk going back to slavery.
